In India majority of 65% population uses Stainless Steel utensils in their household as it is easy to handle and maintain. These utensils are 100% recyclable,
In India we generally find two types of grades of Stainless Steel utensils-
Now we first need to understand the difference between these two grades-
“The major difference between the 304 and 202 stainless steels is the nickel and chromium content. Both are austenitic Stainless Steels. The 202 grade has 16% minimum chromium and 0.5% minimum nickel in the composition where the 304 has 18% minimum chromium and 8% minimum nickel. Both of the steels are non-magnetic.”
Which is better, 304 vs 202 –
304 grade is resistance to corrosion and rust and is not magnetic. It last for generations. One can say for 304 grade Stainless Steel utensils that दादी खरीदे, पड़पोता भी इस्तेमाल करें। There are very few companies which manufacture utensils from 304 grade Stainless Steel utensils.
One of the example is “SAIL SALEM STAINLESS” steel utensils manufactured by the famous maharatna company “STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LTD., Salem”.
